Iris

Iris is a short fictional drama about the effects of Dementia on a married couple in their golden years.

As assistant camera for this project I was tasked with managing both a digital and a super-16mm camera. This proved to be challenging as we were very limited in our available film, an issue we overcame by shooting back-up takes in digital first before swapping to the super16 for a final take.

As DIT and Assistant Editor I was in charge of offloading and organising the digital footage into an easy-to-understand filing system. I was also tasked with cutting the digital-scan of the super-16mm film reel into it’s separate takes and syncing sound.
