NHS Say No

NHS Say No is a choreographed dance video commissioned by the NHS Workers Say No campaign.

As the Director of Photography, it was my responsibility to ensure a consistent shooting style that conveyed the emotion of the dance. One way in which we did this was by shooting hand-held for the first section to emphasise the weight of the Covid-19 Pandemic on NHS workers, and then moving to the Ronin-2 gimbal for the second sequence to represent the positive impact of public support.

As I had never shot a dance sequence before, NHS Say No was an invaluable learning experience. Furthermore, it gave me the opportunity to train myself in the operation of an Arri Alexa Mini camera system.
