The Ride Home

The Ride Home is a 10 minute short created as part of my final assessment at the University of the West of England.

Challenged by the restrictions of a global pandemic, I tasked myself with writing a short film with limited characters and locations. The Ride Home explores a disconnected relationship between a brother and sister over the course of a drive home.

The project presented several technical challenges to overcome. Concerned with the safety of having cast perform whilst driving, we opted to shoot the entire driving scene within a studio, using rear projection and complex lighting setups to emulate a moving vehicle. This scene along with a behind the scenes time-lapse can be found below.
